After using our framework in one of our schools, a teacher commented, "Now I get it; it is not so much what I teach as how I teach." Too often, teachers and school administrators have taken a very short term approach to this foundational area of Christian education by asking for a textbook, instruction video, or manual to address biblical worldview training as task versus an ongoing area of professional development. The framework serves as a guide to create an ongoing conversation among faculty at every grade level and subject area as well as curricular and co-curricular areas.
Addressing each of these areas enables a Christian school and Christian school leader to ensure that they have everything in place to develop a comprehensive approach which will lead to desired outcomes for faculty and students. Every school has the ability to to show significant results with faculty by using this framework if the commitment is proactive and focused on sustainability, not a quick fix or "check the box." In his book published in 1953, Pattern for God's Truth, Frank Gaebelin shares these words of wisdom which continue to hold true for us as Christian educators, "...Christian education will pay the twofold price of hard thinking and hard work."
BMSG stands ready to help you with both hard thinking and hard work with our biblical worldview framework. Let us know if you are ready to embark on this exciting journey.
